Troy Loggins Signs Three-Year AHL Contract with the Grand Rapids Griffins
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Penticton, BC – March 20, 2019 – Kaizen Sports & Entertainment Ltd. is pleased to announce that its college hockey client, Troy Loggins, has agreed to an American Hockey League (AHL) contract with the Grand Rapids Griffins.
The Huntington Beach, California, native signed a three-year AHL contract after posting just over a point-per-game with 40 points in 39 games.
Loggins, 23, played minor hockey for the Anaheim Junior Ducks. In 2013-14, Loggins made the Wenatchee Wild of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) as a walk-on and led the team in scoring, posting 53 points in 60 games. In 2014, Loggins was drafted in the third round by Sioux Falls Stampede and went on to win the Clark Cup. He was awarded the USHL MVP. Northern Michigan – impressed with his playoff run – offered Troy a four-year scholarship to Northern Michigan University, which he accepted.
UPDATE: The #Griffins on Wednesday signed LW Troy Loggins to a three-year contract that will last through the 2020-21 season and signed C Chase Pearson to an amateur tryout for the remainder of the 2018-19 season.

With over 100 college hockey points, Loggins is part of an elite group of Wildcat alumni.
After his Junior season, Loggins accepted an invitation to the Arizona Coyotes Development Camp. His week in Arizona has helped prepare him for this moment.
Troy will report to Grand Rapids (next week) where he will finish the season and complete his degree by distance. The club currently holds second place in the Central Division.
“Troy has worked for every opportunity he has had,” said Kaizen Managing Director Michael O’Rafferty. “Troy plays with eagerness and wanting to prove his worth. He’s a game changer, and he knows he can be that game changer. I think that’s what makes him so special. He’s a great person off the ice but I wouldn’t imagine too many like playing against him. I see tremendous upside and Grand Rapids has made a significant investment in him. I believe that, one day, you will see him in a Detroit sweater.”
