Kaizen Sports Agency Celebrates Four Athletes Selected in 2024 NHL Draft

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Penticton, BC – July 10, 2024 – With over 15 years of industry experience, Kaizen Sports Agency proudly announces that four of our clients were selected in the 2024 NHL Entry Draft, held at the iconic Sphere in Las Vegas on June 28-29, 2024. This success underscores our agency’s rapid rise and proven track record in nurturing elite hockey talent

AJ Spellacy, a 6’3″ center known for his exceptional speed and physicality, was chosen by the Chicago Blackhawks in the 3rd round (72nd overall). Spellacy’s elite skating ability and two-way play make him an exciting prospect with significant upside. This season he will return to the Windsor Spitfire of the OHL.

The Colorado Avalanche selected Tory Pitner, a detailed defender with shutdown skills, in the 6th round (185th overall). Pitner’s refined defensive game and growing offensive capabilities make him a promising addition to the Avalanche’s prospect pool. This season he will enter the Denver Pioneers organization as a true freshman.

Parker Alcos, a 6’3″ smooth-skating defenseman for the Edmonton Oil kings , was drafted by his hometown team, the Vancouver Canucks, in the 6th round (189th overall). Alcos’ mobility and defensive prowess, coupled with flashes of offensive potential, make him an intriguing long-term project. This season he will return to stabilize the Edmonton Oil Kings defensive core.

Goaltender Harrison Meneghin was selected by the Tampa Bay Lightning in the 7th round (206th overall). Meneghin, entering his overage season with the Lethbridge Hurricanes, brings valuable experience and potential to the Lightning’s goaltending depth.

Michael O’Rafferty, Kaizen Sports Senior Managing Director, expressed his excitement: “We’re incredibly proud of our drafted players and equally thrilled for all fifteen Kaizen athletes attending NHL Development camps. This success reflects the hard work of our clients and the dedication of our team in supporting their journey to professional hockey.”
