Kaizen Sports Agency Celebrates Three Athletes Selected for 2024 World Juniors Summer Selection Camp

Penticton, BC (Canada) – July 16, 2024 – Kaizen Sports Agency is proud to announce that three of its athletes have been invited to the National Junior Team Summer Showcase for Canada and Team USA. The camp, scheduled from July 28 to August 3rd, will take place in Windsor, Ontario, and Plymouth, Michigan.Kaizen’s selected athletes are:

  1. Josh Ravensbergen – Goaltender, Team Canada

  2. AJ Spellacy – Forward, Team USA

  3. Tory Pitner – Defenseman, Team USA

Josh Ravensbergen, a standout goaltender for the Prince George Cougars, has been invited to Team Canada’s camp. Ravensbergen’s impressive 2023-24 season included a 26-4-1 record with a .920 save percentage and six shutouts in 31 regular-season games. He played a crucial role in the Cougars’ resurgence, helping the team finish first in their division with 49 wins and 102 points. Ravensbergen’s stellar performance continued in the playoffs, where he posted a league-leading three shutouts and helped advance the team to the Western Conference Final for the first time since 2007. Josh is eligible for the 2025 NHL draft.

AJ Spellacy, recently selected by the Chicago Blackhawks in the 3rd round of the 2024 NHL Draft, will attend Team USA’s camp. Hailing from Cleveland, Ohio, Spellacy is known for his exceptional on-ice speed and physicality. The 6’4″ power forward demonstrated his prowess in the latter half of the season, notching 21 of his 38 total points during that period. AJ will begin his third season with the OHL Windsor Spitfires this September.

Tory Pitner, chosen by the Colorado Avalanche in the 6th round of the 2024 NHL Draft, will join Spellacy at the Team USA camp. Pitner, a defenseman who will enter his Freshmen season at Denver university, is recognized for his solid defensive skills and leadership qualities. Fresh from an outstanding performance at the Avalanche development camp, Pitner is showcasing peak condition.
