Luke Haymes Signs Two-Year Entry-Level Contract With Toronto Maple Leafs

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Penticton, BC – March 24,, 2025 – Kaizen Sports Agency is proud to announce that forward Luke Haymes has signed a two-year Entry-Level Contract (ELC) with the Toronto Maple Leafs of the National Hockey League (NHL).

Haymes, 21, just wrapped up his junior season with Dartmouth College (ECAC), where he tallied 12 goals and 6 assists for 18 points in 22 games. Despite missing much of the first half of the season due to an upper-body injury, Haymes returned in strong form and immediately made an impact as one of the Big Green’s most reliable and complete players.

The Ottawa, ON native went undrafted but caught the attention of NHL teams with his blend of offensive instincts, defensive responsibility, and relentless work rate. Haymes plays a true 200-foot game—bringing energy, IQ, and versatility to every shift.

“Luke has always been hungry to develop – hungry for more,” said Michael O’Rafferty, Senior Managing Director of Kaizen Sports Agency. “He’s another great example of what college hockey can do for developing players. He’s mature, well-rounded, and driven. I think Leafs Nation should be really excited. There’s an opportunity in that organization, and Luke is the type of player who’s going to turn heads.”

A key contributor at both ends of the ice, Haymes led Dartmouth in goals and ranked second in goals despite the missed time. His leadership and consistency helped guide the Big Green to a strong second-half push, drawing NHL interest throughout the season.

Haymes is expected to join the Maple Leafs’ organization following the conclusion of Dartmouth’s academic year and will report to the AHL’s Toronto Marlies to begin his pro career.
