Harrison Meneghin Signs Entry-Level Contract With Tampa Bay Lightning
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Penticton, BC – May 18, 2025 – Kaizen Sports Agency is proud to announce that goaltender Harrison Meneghin has signed a three-year Entry-Level Contract (ELC) with the Tampa Bay Lightning of the National Hockey League (NHL).
Drafted 206th overall in the seventh round of the 2024 NHL Entry Draft, Meneghin’s journey to pro hockey has been one of resilience, steady growth, and heart.

Originally un-drafted in the WHL, Meneghin carved out his early major junior career with the Lethbridge Hurricanes before being acquired by the Medicine Hat Tigers, where he delivered a breakout 2024–25 campaign. In 35 appearances this season, he posted a 2.56 goals-against average, a .901 save percentage, and three shutouts, helping to anchor a strong Tigers squad down the stretch.
Harrison’s consistent play and leadership earned him Central Division Goaltender of the Year, a First-Team All-Star selection, and multiple WHL Goaltender of the Week and Month honors. Most recently, he backstopped the Tigers to a WHL Championship and a berth in the 2025 Memorial Cup in Rimouski, QC, capping off a dominant postseason run with a well-earned Playoff MVP award. Over the past two seasons, Harrison has collected over a dozen individual accolades, including Team MVP and the Three Star Award with Lethbridge in 2023–24.
But this season was about far more than hockey.
In the final months of the regular season, Harrison lost his father, Derek Meneghin, a dedicated hockey parent who was a constant in his journey from minor hockey to the WHL. The news shook the team and the community. As teammate Ozzy Wiesblatt shared with Medicine Hat News, “Harry is a heart and soul guy for us. Finding out that news on Sunday was really hard… It’s a really tough situation but it will bring the team together.”

For Kaizen Sports Agency, today’s milestone is about more than a contract — it’s about honoring “Harrison’s put in the work — all those early mornings, long drives with his dad, and now the pain of losing him — it makes this moment even more meaningful,” said Michael O’Rafferty, Senior Managing Director of Kaizen Sports Agency. “The Lightning are getting a goalie with grit, skill, and a whole lot of character. “
Jonah Boston, NHLPA Certified Agent at Kaizen, echoed that sentiment.
“Harry is everything we value in a Kaizen athlete — focused, resilient, and always pushing forward,” said Jonah Boston, NHLPA Certified Agent. “It’s been a tough stretch, but today is about recognizing everything he and his family have earned. He has an amazing mom in Sam and Derek would be proud.”
Meneghin will report to the Lightning’s development camp in early July.
