Brandon Buhr Signs NHL Entry Level Contract with Toronto Maple Leafs

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Penticton, BC – Kaizen Sports client Brandon Buhr has signed a one year NHL Entry Level Contract with the Toronto Maple Leafs for the 2026–27 season following his senior year at Union College. The 23 year old forward from North Vancouver, British Columbia will report immediately to the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League to finish the current season within the Maple Leafs organization.

Buhr developed into one of Union’s most reliable power forwards during his NCAA career with the Garnet Chargers. In his senior season he recorded 36 points in 35 games while evolving into a big, strong power forward. His ability to see the ice and make plays offensively is rare for players of his size. Buhr steadily built his game throughout college after developing in the BCHL with the Alberni Valley Bulldogs, where he produced 47 points in 46 games during the 2021–22 season and added 24 points in a 19 game playoff run.

“College hockey remains one of the best development paths for players who need time to round out their game,” said Kaizen Sports Senior Managing Director Michael O’Rafferty. “Brandon is a real example of continuous improvement. Each season he added another layer to his game and earned this opportunity.”

Buhr will now begin the next chapter of his professional career within the Maple Leafs organization.
