Kaizen Sports Agency Congratulates Kenny Ryan on NHLPA Certification

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
PENTICTON, BC – Kaizen Sports Agency proudly congratulates U.S. Associate Kenny Ryan on becoming a certified agent member of the National Hockey League Players’ Association (NHLPA), effective immediately. Ryan, a former second-round draft pick of the Toronto Maple Leafs, brings invaluable firsthand experience to his role as a player representative.
Ryan’s hockey journey began with the USA Hockey National Team Development Program (USNTDP) before he was selected 50th overall by the Maple Leafs in the 2009 NHL Draft. He went on to play major junior hockey with the Windsor Spitfires (OHL), helping the team capture the 2010 Memorial Cup. His professional career spanned the AHL, ECHL, and Swiss leagues, with stops in Toronto, San Diego, Cleveland, and Thurgau, Switzerland.
Since transitioning into player representation, Ryan has been a key asset to Kaizen Sports Agency, advising and mentoring young athletes as they navigate their careers. He currently represents Chicago Blackhawks prospect AJ Spellacy (3rd round, 2023) and 2025 NHL Draft hopefuls Brandon Gorzynski (Calgary, WHL) and Blake Arrowsmith (Niagara, OHL).
“Kenny put his trust in Kaizen, and today he’s seeing that dedication pay off at the highest level,” said Michael O’Rafferty, Senior Managing Director of Kaizen Sports Agency. “As a former pro, he brings invaluable experience and insight that our clients rely on, especially during challenging moments. His passion for mentorship and unwavering commitment to our players make him an exceptional advocate for their careers.”
For Ryan, earning NHLPA certification is the culmination of years of dedication to the sport and his clients. “I’m incredibly grateful to Kaizen Sports and to Michael O’Rafferty for believing in me throughout this journey,” said Ryan. “I love being part of our clients’ development, mentoring them through the ups and downs of a hockey career. None of this would be possible without my beautiful wife Amanda and our boys - Rush, Brody, and Teddy - who support me every step of the way.”
Ryan resides in Cleveland, Ohio, where he continues to build his client base and uphold Kaizen’s commitment to player development.
